Interesting looking Aston Martin. It would be better in British racing green though.

It would be. If it's creator wasn't based in Torino. And it's designer didn't have the name 'Giovanni Savonuzzi'. The fact that the car never was meant to be driven or raced for/in the UK (it did all this in Morocco) didn't help either probably.

But you're right, it's based on an Aston Martin. ;-)

I'm not big fan of red cars but I have accepted that some Italian built cars have good reason for being red (national racing color is probably the reason ever). But now my thoughts are divided. Should it be red or not?

I'd rather call it an 'Allemano' and think of it as being Italian so I'd rather see it red, especially this darker kind of red, suits it very well.

Well thank you for the compliment. I try not to post the obvious ones.

Yeah, I was thinking that it doesn't seem be very bright red. I would still prefer not-red. But it sure is pretty.

It isn't very bright red. 'Rosso Corsa', the Italian racing color, never was. Ferrari always used it as well. Over the years Ferraris got brighter, it is said this was to look better on TV-screens as the original 'Rosso Corsa' appeared to be somewhat brown on older colour tvs. But when you look at 50s Ferraris (the Allemano is from 1953) like the 166MM: same shade of red.

I believe this darkish-red has only gotten available at Ferrari again the last decade or so.

Where the hell did you see this, it's a one-off!!!!

Not the best looking Aston ever (I guess you can tell which one that is) but it's a beauty alright.

It's lovely. The lights remind me of a Facel. It lives or lived in America. I saw it at a show.

Is this your favorite?

Haha, the first one doing over 200mph (which it never did)? Not quite. This one of course:

And yes: That Allemano is lovely, would really love to see it in person!
